Re: The War on Christians

LONDON (Reuters) - A teenage schoolgirl will appeal to the High Court on Friday to overturn a ban on her wearing a "purity ring" at school to symbolize her decision to abstain from sex before marriage.

Rules are rules. She and her parents agreed to them when she was enrolled. Don't like them? Fine, go elsewhere. I'm just so tired of hearing about the poor little picked on Christian. It's a fairly safe bet that if this were re: a student wanting to wear a pentagram, it wouldn't have gotten the attention that this story has.

"Yes, the long war on Christianity. I pray that one day we may live in an America where Christians can worship freely! In broad daylight! Openly wearing the symbols of their religion…. perhaps around their necks? And maybe — dare I dream it? — maybe one day there can be an openly Christian President. Or, perhaps, 43 of them. Consecutively." — Jon Stewart
